Early 2005 MENCK launched the new in-house developed MHP 800 hydraulic power pack which became a success story right from the start. HOCHTIEF Construction AG successfully used the unit in combination with the MENCK MHU 270T hydraulic hammer to install more than 650 piles at the new Container Terminal CT4 in Bremerhaven, Germany. The MHP 800 hydraulic power pack also complies with the strong requirements of the oil and gas industry.
MENCK is now delighted to introduce the new high-performance MHP 1600 hydraulic power pack suitable for a wide range of MENCK hydraulic hammers. The in-house development is the answer to increasing market demands and incorporates the many years of MENCK’s experience with hydraulic hammers. The release of the new MHP 1600 power pack is another milestone in establishing a comprehensive equipment fleet for our customers.
The first two MHP 1600 power packs have been delivered to one of our customers in the oil and gas industry and will be used with a MENCK MHU 1700 hydraulic hammer in the Caspian Sea. The new design offers several advantages for the customer that include high durability due to high-quality components and materials, outstanding control with short reaction times, as well as the possibility to use bio-degradable hydraulic oil. The excellent service for all MENCK equipment from a single source is another key to project success.
The new MHP 1600 hydraulic power pack delivers an oil flow of 1600 L/min at 260 bar. The power pack consists of a 40’ offshore container comprising of an operator or shop cabin, a large oil and diesel tank, as well as the engine and hydraulic equipment. The two diesel engines are coupled to four axial piston pumps providing the hydraulic power. An optional compressor provides air to the hammer housing for underwater operations. The master and slave concept of the intelligent operating software allows the coupling of several MENCK power packs providing a broad range of hydraulic power for running different MENCK hydraulic hammers.
