MENCK’s deepwater pile driving system was used in over 25 deepwater anchoring projects during the last 10 years. Some of the many milestones:

  • Ursa TLP (GoM), Shell, the largest TLP ever built
  • Boomvang and Nansen, Kerr McGee, 2 truss SPAR platforms at 1,200 m (4,000 ft)
water depth in the Gulf of Mexico
  • Kizomba “A” TLP for ExxonMobil, the first TLP in West Africa
  • West Seno “A” TLP for Unocal, the first TLP in the Asia Pacific region
  • Marco Polo TLP, El Paso, pushing the depth record beyond 1,220 m (4,000 ft) in the GoM
  • Frontrunner SPAR, Murphy Oil, SPAR at 1,060 m (3,500 ft) in the GoM
  • Magnolia TLP for Conoco, another depth record at 1,400 m (4,700 ft)

We have held the world record for deepwater driven piles for the last 15 years
and continue to push it deeper.
